Cannondale e440 At Buffalo Range in Ottawa, IL
My 2002 Cannondale e440 was a lot of things but quiet was not one of them. On the off chance the bike decided to run the 440cc four stroke had an open exhaust and made a lot of engine noise. The Ohlins suspension was amazing and the frame solid as a rock. Oil changes were a pain in the butt as 2 of the 4 drain plugs were on the spars of the frame and the opening at 90 degree angle to the ground. Oil would run all down the side of the bike.
ATK purchased Cannondale dirtbike rights after Dale went bankrupt and ATK fixed all the issues the bike had. Now Electric Motorsport has gone and made the bike electric. That pretty much takes care of the remaining ICE complaints. The old Cannonfail will now be quiet as a ghost and draw as much attention as the original.
Anyway, wanted to post up some pictures of my e440 so I don’t loose them. Did you own a Cannondale or ATK 450? Would love to hear your story.
